MKC is working with Thames Valley Police, Compass and our local MP’s Iain Stewart and Mark Lancaster to deliver a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of Psychoactive Substances. Whilst Milton Keynes has seen a rise in the use of these substance over the last 2 or 3 years, strong partnership working has kept the scale of the problem under control. The law is about to change with the introduction of the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 so that selling any psychoactive substance will be illegal.
An information event is being held on Thursday 17th March, 7pm – 8pm (arrival from 6.30pm) at:
MK College Silbury Campus
200 Silbury Boulevard
You will hear from the MP’s along with our local police drugs expert and Compass Young People’s Service. This event is open to anyone interested in finding out more about ‘legal highs’ and understanding what the law will mean for people who use or sell these substances.
