Apple Day 2017 will be held at the usual location – Downs Barn Orchard at the end of Loriner Place on Sunday 22nd October. The trees are beginning to mature and produced a few apples last year, not enough for the mammoth apple pressing that takes place on the event so bring your own as well. There are plenty of apple trees in the Parish providing free fruit along with plums, pears and cherries.
The community herb garden is well established now and the Allotment Association will be on hand to advise on what goes best with apples in your cooking (apart from pork!).
If you are interested in having a stand to compliment this national day, please contact the Parish Council
