In September 2015, Milton Keynes Council initiated a project to take an independent longer term view of the future of Milton Keynes. The MK Futures 2050 Commission has been exploring what makes a great city and how Milton Keynes can become even greater in the future as it strives for economic growth.
The MK Futures 2050 Commission, chaired by Sir Peter Gregson, the Vice Chancellor from Cranfield University, comprises nine independent specialists from a wide variety of backgrounds. The Commission’s Report “Making a Great City Greater” sets out a highly ambitious agenda for the future development and growth of Milton Keynes.
The report is being launched on Monday 4th July and in the lead up to the Full Council meeting to discuss the report on Wednesday 20th July, we are talking to other groups and stakeholders about the report and the recommendations and projects it contains. (You may have already been invited to one of these other events, but you are welcome to join us again!)
The MK Futures 2050 Commission therefore wishes to invite you to a public meeting to discuss their report “Making a Great City Greater”, at Margaret Powell House, 401-447 Midsummer Blvd, on Wednesday 13th July 2016, between 7.30-9.00pm.
The event will include a presentation from Sir Peter Gregson and other Commissioners, with the opportunity to ask questions of the Commission about their report and recommendations.
To confirm your attendance at this event, please reply to MKFutures@milton-keynes.gov.uk or call 01908 254983.
