Guided walks, family fun days, cycling, woodland play and school holiday events, The Parks Trust has a vibrant programme of over 200 events and activities happening throughout the year in your parks.
Whether you want to get fit, develop a new skill or simply enjoy Milton Keynes’ beautiful parks and green spaces there is a fun-packed programme for all ages to enjoy. Don’t forget the regular monthly events including: the Women’s Walking Network; bike rides with the Easy Riders, orienteering and Parks and Run.
Of course you don’t need to attend an organised event to have some fun. Gather your friends and family to find the perfect spot for a picnic. Choose from the beautiful setting of Campbell Park, the relaxing setting of the river in the Ouse Valley or the leafy shelter of an ancient wood at Shenley, Howe Park or Linford Woods. Many of our parks have rivers, lakes or ponds and you can spend some time wildlife spotting, feeding the ducks or playing pooh sticks.
The parks are ideal places to hold your own event, from community picnics to concerts and festivals. The Trust would love to see more groups and clubs organising their own events and encourages them to seek advice and help.
Most of the Trusts’ events are free or have a minimal charge. If you’d like to get a full programme of this year’s events, call The Parks Trust on 01908 255379, download information from the website www.theparkstrust.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Events Guide can also be picked up from your local library or your parish council office.
